Beat Making Software - Nine Options For You To Make Beats With

Beat making software has taken the hip hop industry by storm for the last several years now, and has given people the ability and the chance to do what they may have often dreamed of, but never had the means or money to do back then: making beats! And with more and more options coming out year after year, it seems that more and more people will get to taste the hip hop music industry on the back end of production! So exactly what are the options?

Back then, if you wanted to make hip hop beats, you had to more or less settle for dreaming about it, or getting some money together to buy a drum sampling machine or synth type keyboard. There were no programs or beat making software products that allowed you the ability to put together instrumentals that you may have heard in your mind. Of course, as times change, so does technology, and it just gets more and more advanced!

Among one of the several options that you have, my personal favorite, has to be FL Studio by ImageLine. There's just a lot you can do in this program, and it doesn't require the largest, most difficult learning curve to accomplish it. That doesn't mean you're just going to pick up a copy and start hammering out beats tomorrow! But it definitely is easy to learn after some time, and with so many Youtube videos on it, you can learn even faster and start using your own techniques!

It has a nice variety of built in plugins, and allows the use of external third party VST plugins, which allow you to add more options for tweaking FX like reverb, filtering, equalization, and so forth, along with the ability to load up VSTi plugins which are virtual instruments that you can use to make your beats! If you're not familiar with this beat making software, or if you are and tried and liked the demo, you can use my FL Studio Discount affiliate link, and save up to 10% off. This link is for new users only and will only allow a discount off of any FL Studio program purchase of over $90. If you see a plugin as well, you can add it to the cart at the same time, and it should do a discount on your entire cart. It's a great program as far as I'm concerned. But you have other options as well.

Another option that you have is Reason 6 by Propellerheads. Reason has always been a strong competitor in terms of beat making software, in that it sounds very professional and the built in synths and sounds in quality match pretty well to hardware sounds. It has numerous options as well built in for you to use in terms of FX, drum loop creation, synth modules, and more! The one thing that it still does not seem to have, is the ability to use third party VST plugins. This in my opinion has impacted it in some way, as some beat makers would prefer to use plugins instead of only relying on the built in tools that it includes. Still, it is a pretty powerful tool as well.

There is also Cubase, which seems to be one of the most popular used now as well. It does a pretty great job from what I've heard, and is also a tool that a lot of studios seem to rely on in syncing it to ProTools. However, from my understanding (and I can only say what I've heard as I've not actually tried it myself) is that the learning curve for it is a steeper one. However, it does allow the use of VST plugins, and also has more tools built in to automate your production and mixing needs as well. This is definitely one to look into to use to make beats, especially if you're tech savvy and looking to start out with something a bit more challenging to learn.

You also have other programs out there, like Reaper, and Orion Pro, or for Mac users, there is also Garageband and Logic. All of these beat making software options are also high in quality and work really well in producing hip hop beats. They all have their own benefits and special tools within them that may help make your music stand out. It's all in a matter of testing and learning as well.

Finally, for those that love using WAV samples, or loops as well, you have two other options as well, between the DUBTurbo Urban Beat Production software, or in the Sonic Producer Beat Maker as well. Both of these seem to get great ratings overall as well and it seems many people like using them to make some serious beats. You can produce some hot beats in it from what I've seen on some of the demos. And they are nowhere near as pricey as some of the other ones mentioned above. Both of them are actually under $50.00, whereas most of the above ones are at least $100 to get. It's worth checking out. I can't say I've made beats in them as I've not yet tried them, though considering it to see how they work, but they've been around a while now, and seem to easily compete with some of the others as well.

With so many beat making software options at your disposal, it's easy to see why there are more and more people jumping at the chance to make some beats either for their own hip hop lyrics, or to make and sell to others in need. The beat market, though very competitive, is high in demand, as there are more and more artists coming out as well, all of which don't have the time or patience to make their own beats!

So what are you waiting for? You can either twiddle your thumbs wishing you could make beats, or get some money together to invest in yourself. If you're already making beats but struggling with sales, you can also check out the ebook I wrote, How Do I Sell Beats Online. It is a detailed guide that can help you get some of your beats sold!

And, you can also check out my hip hop samples and sounds for beats as well if you are looking to add some more sounds to your collection! After all, a beat maker or producer can't ever have too many sounds to play with. You'll learn soon enough if you don't know that already.

Don't sit there and wait for an invitation, copp your beat making software, which ever it may be, and start learning and hammering out some heat!! I provided you with some links above and options, so you just need to do a bit more research to see what fits you, buy it, and make beats today! Much respect.
